Center Ice Arena is one of the best ice arena and entertainment facilities in the country. Home to many Pennsylvania colleges and high school hockey leagues, they also host many other social events, exhibitions, tournaments, schools and other competitions. Center Ice Arena is a privately owned facility and was built by one of the owners, Nese Construction. The other owners are the Mazzenga and Franci families.  Built in 1997 the arena began with two NFL ice sheets, a skate shop and a snack bar. In 2000 it was evident that more space was needed so additional building began to house a large party room and conference area as well as a fitness center available to the skaters as well as the open public. There was also a video arcade built and the parking lot was reconfigured for greater parking ease. In 2003 a third NHL ice sheet was added.
